Samir Shah CBE is a leading figure in Britain’s broadcasting industry.
He was head of current affairs at the BBC and was responsible for its political journalism.
In February this year, Samir received from the RTS (Royal Television Society) its “Outstanding Contribution” award for television journalism.
He was a Non-Executive Director of the BBC Board, a Board member of Bafta and sat on the Government advisory group on the Future of Public Service Broadcasting.
He will speak under the Chatham House rule on the future of the BBC in the context of technological change, cultural polarisation and political pressure.
